The Boys is an American satirical superhero television series developed by Eric Kripke for Amazon Prime Video. Based on the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, it follows a group of vigilantes known as “The Boys” as they take on a corrupt superhero team, “The Seven,” owned by Vought International, a powerful corporation that markets and monetizes superheroes. The series begins with Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid), a young man whose girlfriend is accidentally killed by A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), a member of The Seven. Hughie joins The Boys, a group of vigilantes led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), who despises all superpowered individuals. The Boys aim to take down Vought and its corrupt superheroes, while also uncovering the truth about their powers and motivations.
